Dear Editor, I would be grateful if you would allow me space in your widely read newspaper to make a few points. At a recent meeting of Enterprise Castlerea, regarding the site of the proposed recycling centre for Castlerea at the Demesne in Castlerea, I was quoted as being critical of Roscommon County Council and the County Manager, Mr John Tiernan.

Dear Editor, We, the members of Tulsk Tidy Committee, are very concerned about the state of our historic Celtic villlage. Firstly the recycling bank opposite the Church of Saints Eithne and Fidelma is in a dreadful state, a real eye sore.

Through extensive research and with the kind help of Mary Skelly of the County Roscommon Heritage and Genealogy Company, there is evidence that our Irish ancestor had a holding in the township of Bidgecarton of Derrycashel in the name of Martin Sheehan and his wife Maria (Mary) Cullen Sheehan, in the 1830.
